Hugs of Light was born from the quiet courage it takes to begin again.

After escaping an abusive relationship, our founder discovered something unexpected in the stillness — a single candle flame that refused to go out. In those tender, silent moments, watching the light flicker and hold, she found her first breath of hope. That small flame became a beacon, a daily promise that light can exist even in the darkest of times — for herself, and for her children.

What began as a personal ritual of healing slowly became something greater. She started crafting candles infused with intention and comforting scents, each one a quiet act of love for anyone carrying grief, loss, or the weight of starting over. What started in a small kitchen grew into something she never expected: a community of healing hearts, drawn together by the universal need to feel held.

Formerly known as Depress Me Not Candles, Hugs of Light is the next chapter — a name that says what we've always meant: you are not alone, and you are loved.
